Thrifty Thursday March 2020

Looking great (and feeling great about how you look) doesn't have to cost a lot, and that is the theme of Thrifty Thursday!  You can achieve your Thrifty Thursday look by shopping at thrift stores, finding things on sale, or wearing hand me downs from an older sister, your mom or a friend.

While at WalMart for something else, I saw these really cute long sleeve waffle cloth shirts on sale for $5!  Definitely a bargain!  This top is in the snake print; the brand name is TIME and TRU and it's a size Large; the content is 65% polyester and 35% rayon. When you buy something this inexpensive, it's usually "you never know," but this top has worn and washed really well.  I also bought one, not pictured, in a pretty raspberry color.  What a great buy!

Amazingly, one of my favorite bloggers, Tania from 50isnotold.com , just featured WalMart in today's post!  You need to check out her blog, as she is ageless and timeless, as well as funny, and her outfits are practical and inspiring!

I got these jeans as a gently used gift from my dear sister.  They are Ann Taylor, and as she is one of their most successful sales associates, she gets a huge discount, but they didn't work as well for her as she had hoped, so I got lucky!  I love these cropped flares.  The cream color is barely different from the trim on my shirt.

The shoes were bought new last year, at $19.99 from Costco, still a good price, and they are Bob's so you know they are comfortable.

My uncle, who lives outside of New York City, is a great thrifter, and every time we visit him, he offers us wonderful treasures.  This clutch is a patchwork number from Coach, so you might say I am pattern mixing in this outfit.

My necklace was purchased at a thrift shop in St. Louis many years ago, and remains one of my favorite pieces.  It says, in Hebrew lettering, MAZEL (luck) on one side, and CHAI (life) on the other.

The bracelet in the close up below is from my favorite thrift store in Raleigh, purchased recently on a lovely visit with my daughter.

Everyone loves thrifting.  Enjoy your Thrifty Thursday!

We all have to get dressed anyway, so we might as well make it fun!
